US auto tariffs could hollow out Asia’s manufacturing sector, says Deputy Bureau Chief of WSJ

Chinese President Xi Jinping met global CEOs in Beijing. The meeting was with an aim to strengthen China’s economy by attracting foreign investment. This comes at a time when US President Donald Trump is preparing to impose reciprocal tariffs on all countries from the 2nd of April. The US is also set to impose 25% tariffs on auto imports, including components, from several countries, including China, Canada, and Mexico.
