American Samoa: Happy Flag Day! Today marks the 125th Anniversary of American Samoa becoming a treasured part of the United States, and our Great American Flag has flown over the Islands ever since.
The Chiefs who first chose to raise the Stars and Stripes over Samoa gave their descendants the greatest gift of all, the gift of being part of the Greatest Country in the History of the World.
We are truly proud of the contributions that American Samoa makes to our Nation. You have served in our Military, enriched our Culture, and excelled in Athletics, Art, and Business. I am proud to be the first President ever to name an American Samoan to my Cabinet, our incredible Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard.
Your beautiful Islands are a beloved part of the United States. Congratulations on this Historic Milestone. Happy Flag Day, and GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Additionally, there are fears of a recession coming this year, which could inevitably slow down spending on artificial intelligence (AI), and technology as a whole. Could the stock be headed for trouble if the index stumbles back into a bear market, or could this be a safe holding given the high degree of government-related revenue the business generates?https://www.fool.com/investing/2025/04/17/is-palantir-technologies-stock-a-safe-investment-t/?source=eptyholnk0000202&utm_source=yahoo-host-full&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=article&referring_guid=85db6204-e41d-4f68-9e0c-b3fbfe9cab8e&.tsrc=rss

On Thursday, Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX) will be one of the first nonfinancial companies to report results in the second earnings season of calendar year 2025. Expectations are high because the stock is crushing the S&P 500 year to date (YTD) and is coming off a 83.1% gain in 2024. Here are three reasons Netflix can sustain its momentum and could be a good growth stock to buy now.https://www.fool.com/investing/2025/04/17/why-netflix-stock-can-continue-beat-market/?source=eptyholnk0000202&utm_source=yahoo-host-full&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=article&referring_guid=a9330eeb-4dd8-4a43-9cbe-46ac6a8ace64&.tsrc=rss

As the Federal Reserve takes a hawkish turn in the face of another Wall Street swoon, the European Central Bank appears set to ease borrowing rates again – or at least that’s what markets expect. * European shares were mixed on Thursday as investors parsed corporate earnings to gauge the fallout of U.S. President Donald Trump’s erratic trade policies, while awaiting the European Central Bank’s policy decision later in the day. * Japan is “deeply concerned” over global economic fallout from U.S. President Donald Trump’s trade tariffs, Finance Minister Katsunobu Kato said on Thursday in the government’s strongest warning yet as the two nations began trade talks.https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/morning-bid-ecb-set-ease-102641925.html?.tsrc=rss

“Trump could try to exchange a reduction in tariffs with an agreement of gas, and maybe also in defense,” says former Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi.
